To welcome in the New Year we are running our annual International Dairy Week (IDW) summer specials offer. It is a great chance to save money on your semen order by getting in early. Data on Team ’06 bulls due for a proof in April this year is being collected. From the preliminary data we are confident that another excellent group of top proven bulls will result. As more information is gathered, including data from the Linear Type Evaluations (LTE), we will be confident enough to release semen from some bulls early. Our plan is to have pre-ABV release semen specials available in mid February. We’ll announce them in this newsletter, so be ready to take the opportunity to order at pre ABV prices. Among the bulls showing promise is the Holstein, CARDINAL. This impressive CARDINAL daughter shown here, was photographed in Northern Victoria. Sons of FABULON, HOLADINO, INFORMER and Jocko are also in the mix. If you have PT daughters milking send us a quick email with details. Attach a photo if you wish. We are particularly interested in your view of their performance in your herd and how they compare with the daughters of other bulls. This pack consists of semen from the leading US Holstein Planet (7H8081), top Australian Holstein ORANA and leading total performance German bull JOBERT. Currently, all stock of JOBERT has sold out but more will arrive in March 2010. If you want to use this semen pack before March you can replace the JOBERT semen with either of the OMAN sons 14H4956 Dotson and/or 14H4915 Jake. This pack combines the best Australia, Germany and the US has to offer. Each of these bulls has been used as a sire of sons and is excellent value at a blend price of $30.00 per straw.
